Liam Payne, 22, had a sudden illness that forced a last-minute cancellation of a One Direction concert on Oct. 20. While the band is planning on taking a hiatus after their current tour, Liam is losing it and taking it out on fellow member Harry Styles, 21, according to an outrageous new report. It even claims he broke down in tears and shouted at Harry, and it resulted in the cancellation of a Belfast, Northern Ireland show. Oh the drama!
“Liam has been under huge pressure since Zayn Malik left. He feels he has to produce performances that carry the band,” according to a new report by Closer magazine. “He lost it in Belfast. He was in tears and shouting at Harry. The rest of the band said they’d help him,” the magazine continued. “Liam’s made it clear he’s reached his limit and is trying to hold it together for this tour, but is making no promises after that.”
The band did indeed to cancel an On The Road Again Tour show in Belfast Oct. 20 after Liam Payne became ill at the last-minute. Right before the band was scheduled perform, an announcer took the stage to say “unfortunately the show tonight has been cancelled as Liam has been taken ill. While it’s not serious, he is unable to perform tonight. The band apologizes to its fans and on your behalf, wish him all the best in his recovery.”
Harry solved the mystery behind Liam’s sudden illness when he spoke to Chris Evans on BBC Radio 2 on Oct 22. When Chris asked if he can send Liam anything to help him feel better, Harry had one reply: “Pepto-Bismol.” When asked if it was a “stomach issue,” Harry said Liam was “just…very ill.” Harry tried his best to not be very gross about it, before he said, “it wasn’t pretty.”
Liam apologized profusely to his fans following the last-minute concert cancellation. On Oct. 21, he took to his Twitter to say “I’m so sorry to everybody I disappointed last night. I’m feeling better now. I really hope everyone can make the rescheduled date on Friday,” adding “Thank you so much for all the trends and lovely messages you guys did for me it really shows how amazing you guys actually are.” Aw, glad you’re doing better Liam!
