Makeup artist Melanie Inglessis was inspired to create a “romantic and chic” beauty look. “We wanted the look to be all about Amber’s gorgeous skin, with a sharp rock’n’roll eyeliner to counter the girly aspect of the dress,” she told HollywoodLife.com.
Melanie used Baszicare skincare for a flawless base, saying “the more healthy and moisturized the skin is, the easier the makeup will glide on and the more beautiful the skin will be on the red carpet! With gorgeous skin, preparation is everything!”
Amber Heard’s ‘Magic Mike XXL’ Makeup
To start, Melanie used Baszicare Roseus Floral Hydrating Toner on Amber’s entire face. The tone revitalized and also has “a fantastic aroma that is also soothing!” After the toner, she used Baszicare’s Lucem Smoothing Cream Intensive, which “leaves the most beautiful glow!” Around the eyes, she dabbed Baszicare Artius Eye Vital Supreme, to brighten and prime. “It’s also a great base for concealer.”
Melanie used Tom Ford Traceless Foundation #5, Cle De Peau Concealer in Beige, and Make Up For Ever HD powder on the T-zone for her flawless face.
For her sexy “rock’n’roll eye,” Melanie used Marc Jacobs eyeliner pencil in black, starting from the middle of the eyes and winging the line out straight (“a little 60s and a little punk but still really chic”), and then sharpened and cleaned the lines with a Q-tip dipped in a water-based makeup remover. Once the shape was perfect, Melanie painted over the line with Make Up For Ever Liquid Liner in Black. To create depth, she used Make Up For Ever Artist Shadow M630 in the crease of the eyes, with a small blending brush using a back and forth motion. She then applied two coats of Diorshow Mascara in black to the top lashes only, leaving the bottom lashes clean.
The lip was Troy Surratt Lip Pencil in Tendre Baiser mixed with Laura Mercier Lip Stain in Peach Glaze.
