Lourdes Is International
Lourdes is the daughter of Madonna and Carlos Leon, who is Cuban. She is also Italian and French Canadian. When Lourdes and Madonna moved to London, due to Madonna’s marriage to Guy Ritche, both Lourdes and her half-brother, Rocco Ritchie, were enrolled in a French language school, reportedly to reflect their international heritage and lifestyle.
Lourdes Still Hits The Books
Even the daughter of the Material Girl has to go to school. Lourdes earned her diploma from the La Guardia School of Performing Arts in New York in 2014, reported the Daily Mail. She reportedly plans to attend the University of Michigan, the same school her mother went to before moving to New York.
She’s A Fashion Designer
Lourdes partnered with her mother to launch the Material Girl clothing line. Inspired by Madonna’s legendary 1980’s looks, the line was successfully launched in 2010. The fashion line also featured another daughter of a music superstar, when Kelly Osbourne was named the face of Material Girl in 2011.
Lola’s A Published Author
In 2003, Lourdes and her Mother decided to co-write a children’s book. The two released The English Roses, which was partially based on Lourdes. Together, they appeared at public readings of the book throughout that year.
She also sings!
It seems Lourdes is following in her mother’s footsteps. Lourdes appeared in two teaser videos for her mother’s Best Of collection, Celebration. She even wore some of her mom’s most famous outfits. She also is a singer. In addition to performing in a High School production of Grease, Lourdes contributed background vocals to Madonna’s MDNA album!
Now that you know more about her, what do you think about Lourdes, HollywoodLifers?
