Zedd & Nina Dobrev Dating? She Doesn’t Want To Hurt Selena Gomez

“They are friends right now mostly because of different fears. Zedd thinks Nina is hot and would date her in a heartbeat. A few things are holding stuff back. He is scared to be in the tabloids again and she doesn’t want to upset Selena,” an insider tells HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY.

Honestly, it’s probably best that Zedd and Nina remain friends. The former Vampire Diaries star has been besties with Selena for a couple years, and female friendships are always more important than boys. Always.

It seems like that’s in their best interest anyway. Zedd was freaked out over his highly publicized relationship with Selena, and Nina needs her BFFs by her side now that her former beau, Ian Somerhalder is a married man.

HollywoodLife.com reached out to Nina’s rep who confirmed Nina is not dating Zedd.

It would also be a red flag if Nina dated Zedd, seeing as though Selena introduced the friends.

In fact, the first time Nina was spotted out with Zedd was during the Golden Globes in Jan., when Zeddlena first started heating up with tons of PDA pics. Nina also showed major support for Zedd and Selena’s song, “I Want You To Know,” when it was released.

Even though Selena and Zedd have broken up, it’s pretty cool that Nina remains on good terms with both of her friends — and she has a great moral compass and knows not to break the girl code and date him!
