Kristen Stewart, 25, and Robert Pattinson, 28, could have fooled us! While we remember the sex scene between Bella and Edward in Breaking Dawn: Part 1 as magical and sexy, Kristen said that it was just the opposite for her and Rob while they were filming it! This is incredibly shocking to hear seeing as though they were happily dating at the time. So what exactly made it unbearable for them? Here’s what she said!
“It had to be transcendent and otherworldly, inhuman, better sex than you can possibly ever imagine, and we were like, ’How do we live up to that?’” Kristen told Harper’s Bazaar UK. “It was agony. Which sucks, because I wanted it to be so good.”
OK, so we totally get where K-Stew is coming from. After all, Bella and Edward having sex is something that was built up in the story majorly, as it was Bella’s first time having sex — and with a vampire. Edward went all out for her after their wedding night in that fancy beach house, too! So much pressure. That’s exactly what Kristen wasn’t so fond of.
“I only hate [sex scenes] when they’re contrived,” Kristen continued. “That’s when it’s grotesquely uncomfortable.”
We hear ya, girl. Plus, it can’t be fun with a whole camera and lighting crew looking on either! We’ll have you know that despite Kristen’s comments, she’s actually very fond of her work on Twilight and slams any critics who talk crap about it.
Kristen looked absolutely stunning as the UK’s Harper’s Bazaar June cover girl! She rocked two gorgeous springtime outfits in pastel pink while lounging at the beach. So glam!
She also told the mag about sexism in Hollywood, saying, “Women inevitably have to work a little bit harder to be heard. Hollywood is disgustingly sexist. It’s crazy. It’s so offensive it’s crazy.” We’ve got to hand it to Kristen for always speaking her mind.
What do YOU think, HollywoodLifers? Do you think Rob and Kristen did a good job of hiding the agony they filmed while filming the sex scene? Let us know your thoughts below!
