Nina Dobrev & Ian Somerhalder’s Last Day On ‘TVD’ Set
That’s a wrap — on Delena, at least.
“#FBF to last week with @IanSomerhalder shooting our final ‘Damon and Elena’ scene,” Nina captioned a collage of two black-and-white polaroids on her Instagram account on Friday, April 24. In one photo she and Ian are posing sweetly next to each other, but in the other the are both making hilariously weird faces. Aw!

Sadly, this confirmed to fans that Delena is done for good. Literally. Now that Nina and Ian have filmed their last scene as Damon and Elena, it’s time to prepare for the upcoming finale that will say goodbye to Nina’s beloved character forever.

While many are left wondering how Elena will say goodbye to Mystic Falls and Damon, there is a lot of speculation that she will take the cure for vampirism and go back to being a human. However, Julie Plec recently revealed that the season finale could be ending with a flash into the future.
“The season ends with a flash forward,” the executive producer told EW. “The show’s not cut yet, so by the time I’m done with it, it might not, but currently it does.”
Hmm. Will it be a flash into Elena’s future? Or, will we find the Salvatore brothers and their Scooby group in the future? We’ll find out soon enough!
