We have Scooter Braun, 33, to thank for the genius pairing of Justin Bieber, 21, and Ariana Grande, 21! When Justin came out during Ariana’s March 28 Miami concert to duet with the “Love Me Harder” singer, Scooter was pushing to “get Justin back out on stage” for some good reasons. HollywoodLife.com can EXCLUSIVELY tell you why!
“Scooter was the brains behind that idea. He wanted to get Justin back out on stage because he wanted him to reconnect with his fan base. Scooter sees it that if you like Ariana, you like Justin, so he paired them together,” an insider tells HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY.
Honestly, we think he should have paired them together sooner! However, it looks like Scooter is trying to look out for Justin’s career as much as possible by pushing him in a positive direction.
“He was also a little concerned that Justin was spending more time in nightclubs than he was on stage, so he thought it would be helpful if Justin got back to doing what he does best — performing,” our insider adds.
Watching Justin perform “Love Me Harder” as well as his hits “All That Matters” and “As Long As You Love Me” definitely made us miss Justin being on stage. He knows how to get the crowd going! Scooter also wanted fans — and Beliebers — to be talking about Justin.
“Scooter and Justin wanted to do this because they wanted to do one last thing to get in the news right before his Roast airs,” our insider continues. “They want people to watch the Roast, and with everyone talking about this performance, Justin is in the news, people are looking for him online, and will be reminded to tune in to see more of him when the Roast airs.”
Unfortunately, when Justin made his grand appearance he seemed to be so excited to be on stage performing that he totally spaced on Ari’s lyrics to “Love Me Harder!” Justin came out singing The Weeknd‘s part of the song and had to improvise when he fumbled for the correct words.
However, Ariana helped him get back on track and they finished the song off with a bang! The crowd erupted with applause before the duo transitioned into singing Justin’s songs. You can watch their epic duet here!
What do YOU think, HollywoodLifers? Do you think it was a good idea for Scooter to pair Justin and Ariana together? Sound off below!
