Mommy, Not So Dearest
After Damon (Ian Somerhalder) found out his mother was on the other side, he convinced Bonnie (Kat Graham) to work with Kai (Chris Wood) to get to the other side, get his mother, find the ascendent and return — that way, Lily (Annie Wersching) could save Stefan and Caroline. Elena (Nina Dobrev), of course went along to meet the woman who had “the two epic loves” of her life, so off they went into the snow.
It was actually pretty epic to see Elena meet her boyfriend’s mother and act nervous — as if she and Damon would ever have some normal “meet my girlfriend” conversation. However, when they tried to bring back Lily from the other side, she said she wanted to bring along her “traveling companions” — extremely hungry vampires she was keeping alive. She pretty much chose them over Damon saying they were her family — but Damon told her Stefan was his, and he forced her to come with him.
Elena also found the ascendent at Lily’s house — which meant Bonnie wasn’t really looking for it. Instead, she was busy tricking Kai into believing she forgave him, only to put him in the same position he put her in. She literally stabbed him in the back, and then Elena, Damon, Lily and Bonnie went back to the present time, leaving him all alone in the snow. Oh yeah, and Lily’s “family” over there got to him really fast. We’re not sure if he’s dead or what, but they did grab him.
Steroline Get Even Hotter Without Humanity
Ripper Stefan and non-humanity Caroline were actually an amazing pair. While Caroline could have no feelings and still not kill, Stefan planned a different approach — he’d slowly turn back into the Ripper and spend all of his time making life impossible for Caroline.
He showed her how “a vampire with no humaity is supposed to act,” and actually tried to stab her with a wooden stake. But he forgot that she was the strong one in their friendship and basically beat him up.
Somehow, Stefan did get her to drink a human’s blood again but sucking on an innocent girl’s neck and somehow making it look sexy, drawing in Caroline. However, she only wanted a taste — what she did want was Stefan and we finally got the intense hook up we were waiting for. Yes, it took place in front of the fireplace in her dorm, which brings up two questions: why do the fireplaces on this show see so much action and WHO has a fireplace in their DORM?
Welcome Back, Sweet Cure
They weren’t the only ones hooking up.Damon of course was hurt by his mother’s lack of caring, but luckily had his girlfriend to cheer him up. She actually was really sweet and their chemistry was stronger than ever. That is unti Bonnie interrupted with a surprise for Damon.
Elena left them alone and she presented him with what she brought back from the other side — the cure, incase he wanted to use it on Elena, since he never got that chance before.
Do you think he’ll use it? Do you think Lily will get Stefan to turn his humanity switch back on? Will Steroline be together? So many questions, HollywoodLifers. I’ve got to know what you’re thinking.
