Nate Hatch Tweets Jaylen Fryberg: I Love & Forgive You
This young man is not just a survivor, he is a hero who is showed his massive heart in just a few words on Twitter.
Despite the fact that his own cousin, Jaylen, shot him in the back of the head along with 4 more of their friends, Nate wants everyone to know that he is not holding a grudge.
“I love you and I forgive you jaylen,” Nate tweeted on Oct. 26. “rest in peace.”
Just moments earlier, Nate tweeted that he was in the “worst pain” he’s ever felt in his life.
Nate is truly remarkable, not just because of his willingness to forgive, but because he survived a bullet to the head and has found the strength to recover.
As previously reported, two of students that Jaylen shot were killed: Gia Soriano and Zoe Galasso, both just 14 years old. So sad.
Many Students Mourning Jaylen’s Death At School Memorial
Nate is not the only student at Marysville-Pilchuck High that has decided to forgive Jaylen for his horrific act of violence at their school.
In fact, it has been reported that there are multiple different memorials for Jaylen along the fence outside of MPHS.
Messages written on balloons, notes, and more read that Jaylen was an “amazing kid” whose “beautiful smile” will never be forgotten.
As an outsider looking in, it’s truly disturbing to witness the students and families of MPHS mourning someone who inflicted such horrific violence on their school. However, it also shows their endurance and strength as a community.
Our thoughts go out to Nate, as well as all of the victims, family, and friends of the Marysville shooting.
