Meanwhile, Callie (Sara Ramirez) and Derek (Patrick Dempsey) started discussing another surgery to repair Derek’s hand. Surprisingly, Derek showed some apprehension about having another surgery because in his eyes, it was his last hope at fixing his hand.
Arizona’s (Jessica Capshaw) return to Seattle Grace Mercy West had everyone walking on eggshells, but surprisingly Arizona was very optimistic about working using her new leg. The doctors though she might have a meltdown after a fall in the OR, but she ended up having a sense of humor about the incident.
While Meredith (Ellen Pompeo) tended to a patient that was a little too touchy, she realized that the problem wasn’t just behavioral, After discovering a brain tumor in the patient, she used the situation to remind Derek of his exceptional skill level. After a little inspiration from his wife, Derek decided to move forward with optimism and have the surgery.
April (Sarah Drew) surprised Avery (Jesse Williams) with some startling news — she was late. Avery took the news suprisingly well, making it more clear how deep his feelings for April really are. After a long day of anxiety, they finally found out the results. April isn’t pregnant.
But Meredith is! After fertility struggles and an adoption, Meredith and Derek are finally expecting a baby together!
But in typical Grey’s fashion, good news always comes with bad. Right as Cristina was about to confess to Owen that she still loved him, he told her he wanted a divorce.
What did you think of this week’s episode of Grey’s? Were you shocked that Meredith was the one who was pregnant? Do you want Cristina and Owen to stay together? Drop me a comment with your thoughts on the episode!
