A paparazzo initially didn’t recognize the middle-aged man who entered Kristen’s black Mini Cooper on July 17, according to a new report in the Los Angeles Times.
Kristen, 22, and Rupert, 41, began pawing one another in the star’s parked car, and the paparazzo requested backup from his agency FameFlynet Pictures. The photographers knew they had a breaking story on their hands — when the unidentified man turned out to be Kristen’s SWATH director, who happened to be married with two kids!
“Oh, my God, she’s not just cheating on Rob — this guy is married and has kids,” Scott Cosman, the owner of FameFlyNet, thought upon seeing the photos. “It was pretty scandalous, and it had so many different angles to it.”
Surprisingly, Rupert’s wife Liberty Ross is reportedly forgiving her husband for his adulterous ways. But perhaps she made that decision after a former director of Kristen’s, Giovanni Agnelli, claimed Rupert and the actress “did not have sex.”
Melanie Bromley, a former West Coast bureau chief for Us Weekly, estimated the photos to be worth $250,000 — an amount the magazine likely spent on the exclusive images!
Dina Sansing, Us Weekly’s entertainment director, added, “There was no question when we saw those pictures that this was going to be one of the biggest stories of the year — if not the biggest. And I’m not sure the ‘Twilight’ fans would have believed the news without the undeniable photographic evidence.”
The fans sure did believe it! In fact, they’re extremely furious with Kristen!
According to Melanie, US Weekly likely informed Kristen’s and Rupert’s publicists about the photos and impending story on July 23, before it was leaked online the next day.
“Usually, you go to the reps and they’ll say, ‘If you don’t run those pictures, I’ll give you this scoop instead,'” said Melanie. “But in this case, there was nothing the reps could barter.”
Unfortunately, the photos may have permanent damages on Kristen’s career. The affair, described by Kristen as a “momentary indiscretion,” has already put a huge dent in Kristen’s four-year relationship with Rob. The 26-year-old actor reportedly moved out of their Los Angeles home on Thursday July 26 and he wants answers regarding the affair.
Rob and Kristen may even run into problems when promotion for Breaking Dawn — Part 2 begins.
