āI wanted to honor old world tradition when MOHās would be held in the highest of esteem and they would be a reflection of the beauty of the bride and would often wear stunning gowns. The peony pink tone and hand-painted details seemed like the perfect Serena MOH wear,ā Eric said. We have to agree ā she looked gorgeous! A custom fascinator from French milliner Joanna Braitbart, Dana Rebecca earrings, a Blue Nile ring and bracelets from Stephen Dweck and Gerard Yasa completed her look.
Speaking of Serenaās fascinator, she wasnāt the only attendee to get glam in true, Royal Wedding fashion ā in fact, Eric said, āOver 200 hats were used to make the royal wedding attendees tres royale! Graciously supplied by Philip Treacy, Sherelās, Christine A Moore, Eugenia Kim, Ann-Marie Faulkner and Yestadt. Merci beaucoup!ā
As for the royal bride, the gorgeous details on Blairās (Leighton Meester) may not have been noticed on-screen, but Eric said, āThere were 6 layers of hand embroidered french lace creating the voluminous cloud-like skirt and over 100 tiny ivory covered buttons that run the entire length down the back of her dress. Itās all in the details!ā
While Blairās dress is definitely a splurge, you can easily recreate Blairās big day without breaking your budget ā and that starts with the bridesmaid dresses! āThe exquisite peony pink cocktail dresses are from Vera Wangās White Collection for Davidās Bridal! We glammed up the bridesmaidās look with black accents, custom hats from Sherelās Nyc and vintage inspired accessories from Sequin,ā Eric said.
While the Prince might not be the best fit for Blair, everything else was definitely perfection!
