“We’re negotiating with Bieber’s counsel, to reach a confidentiality agreement and to get private testing and results,” Mariah’s Chicago-based attorney Jeffrey M. Leving told People.
Meanwhile, Justin’s spokesperson, Matthew Hiltzik, told HollywoodLife.com, “I just want it to be clear there are absolutely no settlement discussions. She can’t demand a paternity test. Her other lawyers filed to dismiss the case and dropped her as a client.”
Mariah’s lawyer also said the 20-year-old mom has been put in extreme danger since going public with her story that she gave birth to Justin’s baby.
“I just spoke to Mariah today, someone was recently stalking her,” Leving said. “She is happy that she changed her number so she’s not getting death threats by phone. She’s a young 20-year-old mother who now has to worry about her safety and her child’s. It’s a lot for any woman that age to handle.”
