Things started a bit rough with star Maddie Baillio having some serious issues with her mic during the opening number, ‘Good Morning, Baltimore.’ It sure didn’t take away from her powerhouse performance, but it was a disappointment. Then, Maddie lost her lighting in during ‘Mama, I’m A Big Girl Now.’ A big mistake? Not really — but wait, there’s more!

Poor Ariana Grande, who was holding her own up until that point, took a tumble during ‘I Can Hear The Bells.’ If you blinked, you might’ve missed it — but that’s why we have gifs! Check it out here!

But I think the biggest flub of the night was the when the camera CUT AWAY from Kristin Chenoweth‘s final bow. HOW RUDE. No one, NO ONE, should disrespect Miss Baltimore Crabs like that!

Overall though, the show went off without a hitch. Interestingly enough, Derek was ready for something to happen. In fact, in an EXCLUSIVE interview with HollywoodLife.com before the show, he explained how he prepped for a mishap  — and it involved a little help from his sis Julianne Hough. “My normal thing is when in doubt, shake it out,” Derek explained. “Repetition is the mother of all skill, and we’re rehearsing so much that hopefully it’ll be automatic. We’re just in it, we’re just having fun with it. I actually asked Julianne before Grease, I said, “Aren’t you guys nervous?” And she said, “No, we’re ready for this! We want to show people this, we’re ready.” So I hope we feel that way too.”

HollywoodLifers, how are you loving the show so far?
