The Descendants star followed up with an adorable Instagram post of her own. “Calling you my ‘boyfriend’ never really felt right anyway. fiancée looks better on you,” she captioned a cute Instagram pic.
Dove and Ryan started dating in Aug. 2013. They met on the set of Dove’s hit Disney Channel series Liv & Maddie. They also co-starred in the 2015 TV movie R.L. Stine’s Monsterville: The Cabinet of Souls. Dove and Ryan are also a part of the band The Girl and the Dreamcatcher. They released the lyric video for “Someone You Like” on April 14. When we talked to Dove EXCLUSIVELY last year, she revealed that their band was a “special thing we get to do together.”
Dove and Ryan have been in love from the very beginning of their relationship. She sweetly recalled their first kiss in a 2015 interview with Fanlala. She went to the park with her “Romeo” and he asked her to write songs with him.
“I leaned in to kiss him on the cheek, and he turned his head really quickly and kissed me, because he knew that I was too shy to just kiss him,” she said. “So, he like tricked me into it…I don’t remember this—because in my mind it was magic and sparkles—but I apparently turned away and squealed and turned bright red.”
