Jencarlos stars as Xavier on the NBC comedy. He plays Eva Longoria’s ex-husband, who is hired to co-star with her on Las Leyes de Pasión. Diana-Maria Riva, Amaury Nolasco and Jose Moreno Brooks also star.
2. He was the lead singer of Boom Boom Pop!
Jencarlos started his music career at the age of 12. He was the lead singer of the group Boom Boom Pop.
3. He’s now a successful solo artist.
Like Justin Timberlake and Zayn Malik did with *NSYNC and One Direction, Jencarlos left Boom Boom Pop to start his solo career in 2002. His first solo album, Búscame, debuted in 2009. He’s released two more albums since, Un Nuevo Día and Jen.
4. Jencarlos has appeared in multiple telenovelas.
Before he starred in Telenovela, Jencarlos starred in many actual telenovelas. He starred in Mi Corazón Insiste in 2011. Jencarlos won Favorite Lead Actor at the Premios Tu Mundo in 2012. He appeared in Pasión Prohibida in 2013. He walked away with the Favorite Lead Actor award again at the Premios Tu Mundo in 2013.
5. Jencarlos has a son!
Jencarlos started dating actress Gaby Espino in 2011. Gaby birth to their son, Nickolas Canela Espino in Feb. 2012. The couple revealed they were splitting up in Aug. 2014.
