Are Demi Lovato & Selena Gomez Still Friends? Demi Reveals Answer To ‘Complex’ – Hollywood Life

Demi Lovato & Selena Gomez’s Frenemy Fallout: They Don’t Talk Anymore

Not again! Just when we thought Demi Lovato and Selena Gomez had finally become friends again, the 'Cool For The Summer' singer bursted our happy bubble when she made a shocking confession to 'Complex' magazine. Apparently, the frenemies don't talk anymore. Demi Lovato, 23, and Selena Gomez, also 23, seemed to have patched up their friendship after Selena wished the "Cool For The Summer" singer a happy birthday on Aug. 20, but they may have had another falling out because Demi told Complex magazine they're no longer friends and they don't talk. Ouch. Find out what happened!

Demi quickly said “nope” when asked if she’s currently friends with the “Good For You Singer,” according to the magazine. And when asked if Selena’s on-again/off-again relationship with Justin Bieber is to blame for their tarnished friendship, Demi said, “not really, not anymore.”

“[Justin’s] actually a nice guy,” she said, defending the Biebs. “I don’t really know him that well, but he seems to have grown up. He looks like he’s maturing. But, you know, when you’re young and you get older, you change and people change. You have things in common, and then all of a sudden, you don’t. It’s just a part of life.”

This seems shocking, considering Demi posted a super cute photo of herself and Selena only two weeks ago, while captioning it with: “Look at how #coolforthesummer we are.. Friends for years, #sameoldlove 👯👭💕.” It’s possible Demi’s interview with Complex magazine was done before she and Selena patched up their friendship, or perhaps they just had another falling out. We hope it’s the former and not the latter.
