Isn't he lovely? Fans are taking a trip down memory lane to when Harry first auditioned for the 'X Factor' five years ago, which became his claim to fame! Relive 16-year-old Harry's game-changing audition here! Before Simon Cowell formed One Direction, there was a doe-eyed 16-year-old boy named Harry Styles who stood in front of the X Factor judges, singing his heart out to Stevie Wonder's "Isn't She Lovely." Flash forward five years, and Directioners are celebrating the anniversary of when Harry, now 21, took the stage to audition for the competition show which turned him into an international star along with his fellow bandmates.

Harry Styles’ ‘X Factor’ Audition: Fans Celebrate Five Year Anniversary

It feels like yesterday since we knew Harry as the baby-faced bakery boy who flawlessly sang a Stevie cover. It’s crazy to see that at the time, Simon was a little skeptical of him at first — before he opened his mouth to sing! Harry eventually got the yes from Simon (and a huge career), but was shockingly shot down by judge Louis Walsh.

Harry took a moment to express his gratitude to his fans on Twitter in honor of the fifth anniversary since his audition.

This immediately got Directioners reminiscing, too, along with praising Harry for his immense success!

One Direction’s Bright Future

Even though One Direction just went through a major change by losing bandmate Zayn Malik22, after he quit the 1D world tour and band, Simon assured heartbroken fans that One Direction still remains as strong as ever! Clearly, they’re still on a roll.

Harry recently confirmed that the band is hard at work on their fifth studio album, which we couldn’t be more excited about.

“It’s very exciting to be working on our fifth album, it shows how incredible the fans have been. A huge thank you to them for everything they’ve done for us. All the love to them,” Harry told The Sun. It’s amazing how far Harry and the band have come since their X Factor days!

What do YOU think, HollywoodLifers? Are you proud of Harry for all he’s accomplished in the last five years? Let us know!
