Robin Williams’ Sad Suicide Details — Cuts Found On Wrist

Tue, August 12, 2014 2:40pm EDT by 26 Comments 77,679 Article Views

So sad. During a press conference on Aug. 12, Lt. Keith Boyd revealed that Robin Williams’ lifeless body was found in a slightly suspended, seated position with a belt around his neck on Aug. 11. Shockingly, the late actor also had acute, superficial wounds on the inside of his left wrist at the time of his death. Read on for all the heartbreaking details.

Following Robin Williamstragic death on Aug. 11, law enforcement officials held a press conference on Aug. 12 to discuss details of the actor’s suicide. The revelations were almost too horrific to take in.

Robin Williams Suicide Details

Marin County Sheriff’s Lt. Keith Boyd stood before a sea of reporters, when he revealed that the 63-year-old actor’s lifeless body was found in a slightly suspended, seated position with a belt around his neck in a bedroom of his California home on Aug. 11. The other end of the belt was between a closed door and the door frame.

And just when you thought it couldn’t get any worse, Keith announced that Robin was also found with acute, superficial wounds on the inside of his left wrist. A pocketknife was found near his body, and a red material consistent with dried blood was found on the knife. Tests will be conducted to determine whether the substance is blood.

Boyd went on to say that Robin was last seen alive by his wife, Susan Schneider, at 10:30 PM on Aug. 10. She retired to a room in the home, while Robin went to a separate room, which is where he was found the following morning.

Robin’s wife left the home on the morning of Aug. 11, believing her husband was still asleep. It was around 11:45 AM that Robin’s assistant became alarmed when knocks on his bedroom door went unanswered. Upon entering Robin’s bedroom, his assistant found the actor’s body and immediately called 911.

Robin’s body was reportedly cool to the touch and according to Boyd, rigor mortis had already set in. Shortly after paramedics arrived at 12:00 PM, Robin was pronounced dead at 12:02 PM on Aug. 11.

The Mrs. Doubtfire actor was then transported from the scene to the Napa County Sheriff’s Office Morgue by the Coroner Division, pending a forensic examination which was conducted prior to this press conference.

The forensic examination, conducted by Dr. Joseph Cohen, who is the Sheriff’s Office Chief Forensic Pathologist, did not reveal any injuries indicating Robin had been in a struggle or physical altercation.

The preliminary results of the forensic examination revealed supporting physical signs that Robin’s life ended from asphyxia due to hanging. Toxicology testing will be conducted to determine if Robin had any chemical substances in his system at his time of death. But those results will not be available for approximately 2 – 6 weeks.

Boyd also noted that this is an active investigation. The final cause and manner of death will not be certified until the conclusion of the investigation, which is several weeks away. When that happens, a press conference will then be scheduled.

Robin Williams: Special Tribute At The Primetime Emmys

The late actor will be celebrated during the Primetime Emmys on Aug. 25. During the live telecast, there will be a special tribute, a source close to the situation has revealed to HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY.

“Robin Williams will be honored on the show and we will all hear from people for the first time about his death during the telecast,” our HollywoodLife.com source reveals. “It is going to be a very big tribute.”

Our thoughts go out to Robin’s family and friends during this difficult time.

If you, or someone you know, is experiencing suicidal ideation, please call the National Suicide Prevention Hotline at 1-800-273-8255; operators are available 24/7.

Because he didn’t kill himself. It’s physically impossible… someone had a chair under him and after he was killed they removed it. That’s why he was found frozen in a sitting position. Now, go put a belt around a door frame….doesn’t work, does it? You cannot hang yourself using a door frame and a belt. Why hasn’t the sheriff figured that out? Or the coroner? Do they think Susan #3 wife is too nice for murder? I think not. Look at the way she acted prior to his death and then after. She is not grieving at all, quite the contrary.

Robin Williams looked extremely old beyond his years, typical for anyone who is chronically malnourished, unable to absorb the food he eats, even if such food is nutritious, a consequence of perpetual inflammation of the gastrointestinal tract, damaged beyond repair by trans fat, refined sugars, artificial sweeteners, MSG, alcohol, acidic food — pretty much the notorious Western Diet and especially frankenfood, indicated by depression, poor attitude, heart disease, high-blood pressure, high cholesterol, constipation, E.D., low desire, IBS (diseases can number in the hundreds), and the most obvious indicator, the swollen abdomen, which used to be a given in old age but now has creeped all the way down to teenagers. Even athletes suffer, if not from a protruding abdomen, then from a sweet tooth and alcohol consumption, because refined sugars and alcohol are easily absorbed, even by a damaged G.I. system.

Another usual suspect is corporate farming, its products virtually depleted of minerals and nutrition. As a consequence, for example, 80 percent of the population is now deficient in magnesium, a vital co-factor in hundreds of cell, organ and brain functions. When you consider there are many other mineral deficiencies, it’s only by miracle that so many are still alive.

A more ominous suspect is the healthcare system, itself. Magnesium deficiency is indicated by depression, however, doctors prescribe, more by rule, not magnesium supplements but a drug such as Paxil, and most drugs further deplete magnesium from the body. A person sick today is better off staying away from the healthcare system altogether.

If psychologists ever have to admit that depression is a food-borne illness, well, they’d be out of jobs, wouldn’t they? And so would a large segment of the healthcare industry, especially Big Pharma.

But by far the worst usual suspects, the ones most responsible for inflamed digestive systems and malnorishment, are the psycopaths in the mainstream media, which used to be the Fourth Estate but no longer is, who’ve, by way of silence, thrown in with corporate bottom lines and stock holders — anything to make a buck at the expense of the health of children, families and adults.

Robin Williams would still be alive today had the press taken up arms fifty years ago against lethal corpoate greed and profit, as had the Surgeon General first gone after lethal tobacco in the Sixties.

In the same way there are dummies who continue to smoke today, most of the population continues to feast on the Western diet, completely oblivious to the contamination that makes them sicker today and older tomorrow, believing the pie today is the same one made by their grandmothers two generations ago.

Nostalgia is an indicator of our bankrupt environment and the food in it, a psychological mechanism that struggles to compensate for unhappiness and depression, but rarely is the desired effect ever achieved because addiction to Western lifestyle paralyzes the conscience from ever regaining the health and well being required for true happiness.

You’re kidding, right? I think you’re on the wrong post. The man looked great for 63 years old and nutrition has nothing to do with this. He has battled addiction since he hit fame, as many did during the 70’s and 80’s and we’ve lost quite a few of the best because of it.

@Samantha: I skimmed through your looong essay. I didn’t really care much but I agree with Af and Harry. You just seem like you copied and pasted bits and pieces trying to sound intellectual. Nobody has time to read long a$$ paragraphs, especially when you could tell they weren’t even written by you. You sound more like a wannabe. Nothing like being yourself and keeping it simple.

I absolutely agree with you. The GI and nutrition facts are spot on. If he had worked out, ate specific foods, he would be in a more positive place and most likely would not have taken his life. Deep depression was most likely a cause of eating horrible foods. I believe nutrition and absorption is very important. Same goes to James Gandolfini, he died of a stroke and he was younger than WIlliams but looked almost just as old. Williams week and down for 63 and in deep malnutrition. The idiots posting below are uneducated, ignorant, and probably voted for Obama and on the other side hate Michelle Obama’s school vending machines. Hypocrites are what’s for dinner.

This is shocking. There are people with horrible lives. You would think that he would be grateful for all that life had given him but no one knows for sure the thirst that someone else feels. He never really opened up about what was going on in his head. :(

ikr ?? She knew he was seriously mentally ill,and then she leaves him alone !?!
Maybe I am out of line here, but why didn’t his wife try to stop him ? Since he had been battling depression and addiction, maybe she should have kept a closer eye on him ? Bipolar people have a higher suicide rate than other people with mental illnesses, and I am wishing that she should have kept a closer eye on him. She had to have heard SOMETHING. She leaves him alone to go to another room ? What was she thinking?
WTF??

So she’s supposed to follow him around continuously like a puppy? He wasn’t a toddler. He was an adult. He had had addictions dating back many years, and for some time, depression or some other mental illness. But he wasn’t under a suicide watch. He didn’t have dementia. He was a lucid adult, not a senile person who would wander off or something.

I’m not sure she’s a suspect, but you’d think that she’d have checked on him before leaving the house… Odds are, there were clues the evening before that he was in trouble.

Lots of couples sleep in separate rooms. My husband is a night owl and he wakes me up when he goes back to bed so we often sleep in separate rooms for that reason. Perhaps Robin slept in normally and so she knew that and thought nothing of it. We don’t know how early his wife left the house or what she was doing during that time. It does not at all sound suspicious that things would unfold with this timing. How horrible to throw blame at this wife, who is most likely in a lot of pain right now. So sad that people like you are drawing this conclusion automatically. Also..many people who are suicidal act totally normal hours before they do it. Some even act happy or even elated. Look it up. She probably had no idea.

Spot on, just what I wanted to say. No one should have expected Robin’s wife to keep a 24 hour watching him – I’m sure if she had suspected he was that unwell to need constant supervision she would have had him hospitalised. As you say, many people seem elated before their suicide, often they feel ‘at peace’ because they have made the decision and thus their suffering will be over soon – albeit in an incredibly tragic way. I have self harmed many times but I don’t blame anyone for not keeping a constant vigil around me – I was pretty good at putting on a happy front. It sounds like she just thought it was a normal day, he had slept in and she’d see him later. As you say, sleeping in seperate rooms is not that uncommon. Very cruel for people to try to blame her.

I blame his wife and women too, knowing how mentally/emotionally fragile he had become, and for them he was simply a money making machine allowing them to have a rich life, and not a human being lonely/messed up with drugs and heavy drinking because probably he was aware and disappointed women were just using him for his money, and how nice of his latest wife, knowing his husband is so depressed, with money problems, with his head rotten by drugs/drinking/women’s predators, depression and finally even the ghost of a coming parkinson disease, and she left him sleep alone knowing that it would be very dangerous and not even cheking on him before going to work and give him a good bye kiss like I do with my husband every day and the first thing she did, was thinking about selling the house and blaming the parkinson dsease for his death??? His suicide was mainly due to the wrong women he god involved with who destroyed him like drugs and heavy drinking and not being able to make money like the old days to support the high living of his ex wives and corrent one, and I am sure, it was too much for him to deal with, and it was a way to stop them from eating him alive day by day like drugs do…..It takes many years for parkinson deceased to make you unable to perform your duties/jobs and very few people with the same desease commit suicide and they continue to live many years before reaching high deterioration…what a nice friend he has found, but maybe he was worth more dead than alive, and probably he had insurance too to please his women…why in the world did he get married to them??? Bad choices he made in his life not played well like the screen…

One thing for sure: If he was paying alimony, it’s over with now.
The ex-wives won’t get another dime. They can’t even get life
insurance payment because he committed suicide; an horrendus
way to stop voltures from devoring him and to punish them for
what they have done to him! He could have killed himself silently
with pills, but he decided to do it in a way that showed all his
anger/disappontment/pain and stop much greater and uglier pains
that were killing him day after day…
