2014 Emmy Nominations Announced

We already have award show fever. With the 66th annual Primetime Emmy Awards nominees, we’re gearing up for red carpet galore. But first, take a look at the best television has to offer.

Taylor Schilling (Orange Is The New Black), Lena Dunham (Girls), Amy Poehler (Parks and Recreation), Melissa McCarthy (Mike & Molly), Edie Falco (Nurse Jackie) and reigning champ Julia Louis-Dreyfus (Veep) are nominated for Best Actress (Comedy), while Kerry Washington (Scandal), Julianna Marguiles (The Good Wife), Claire Danes (Homeland), Lizzy Caplan (Masters of Sex), Michelle Dockery (Downton Abbey) and Robin Wright (House of Cards) round out the Best Actress (Drama) category.

Netflix has a big reason to celebrate — Orange Is The New Black and House of Cards both received nods.

New contenders include HBO’s The Normal HeartSilicon Valley and True Detective, plus Showtime’s critically acclaimed newcomer Masters of Sex, which was not nominated for its freshmen season, and FX’s Fargo, starring Billy Bob Thorton.
