Leah Messer’s Baby’s Diagnosis On ‘Teen Mom 2’ — Sneak Peak Of Tragic News – Hollywood Life

‘Teen Mom 2’ Sneak Peek: Leah Receives Daughter’s Tragic Diagnosis

In a sneak peek of the Feb. 4 episode of 'Teen Mom 2,' we see Leah Messer, 21, receive her daughter Aliannah's tragic diagnosis of congenital muscular dystrophy and what that will mean for little Aliannah. Teen Mom 2 star Leah Messer has already spoken out about the diagnosis, both on the season 5 premiere of Teen Mom 2 on Jan. 21 and in an interview with InTouch where she opened up to the mag, telling them that they were "scared" because they "didn't know what [Aliannah's] future would hold." So sad. However, in this sneak peek of tonight's Feb. 4 episode, we see the doctor tell Leah's ex and Ali's father, Corey Simms that Aliannah will definitively need to be in a wheelchair. ‘Teen Mom 2’ Star Leah Messer Told That Daughter Aliannah Will Need A Wheelchair

Teen Mom 2 Stars Share Life Lessons

In the clip provided by E! Online, we hear from the doctor that Ali’s diagnosis is specifically Ullrich congenital muscular dystrophy, which mainly affects the skeletal muscles — those used for movement.

Therefore, while Ali is able to walk now, it will only get worse for her as the existing muscles in her legs will be replaced by fat and scar tissue, making her weaker, and that “she will need a power wheelchair when she goes to school.”

‘Teen Mom 2’ Star Leah Messer’s Daughter Aleeah Has Been Acting Out

Leah and Corey receive the news from the doctor bravely, but it is still an incredibly sad situation. Aliannah’s twin sister, Aleeah, has reportedly been acting out because because of all the (very necessary) attention that Leah has been devoting to Ali — that is, driving her back and forth to physical therapy, enrolling her in special needs preschool, and more.

However, Leah has been working with her husband, Jeremy Calvert, 24, to do their best in balancing the scales and ensuring that all of Leah’s children receive the attention they deserve.

What did you think of the clip, HollyMoms? Is Leah making the best of a bad situation? Could she be doing more or do you think she is handling this difficult situation as best as she can? She is only 21, after all! Be sure to vote and tell us in the comments whether you’ll be watching tonight!
