Paul Wesley & Torrey DeVitto Divorce
So sad for them! According to papers obtained by TMZ, Paul and Torrey finalized their divorce after some money struggles led to a delay. The now-former couple married back in April of 2011, and separated back in July amidst rumors of Paul dating The Originals star Phoebe Tonkin.
Apparently the couple signed a prenup that kept their earnings separate, and since Paul makes a lot more than Torrey at the moment, the divorce caused quite a struggle.The prenup provides that Paul gets all the money he fronted for the purchase of their home — $730,593 — and Torrey gets what she put in, which only amounted to $10,000.
The outlet also claims that there were issues over cars. Paul gets to keep the Prius, the Triumph Bonneville chopper and the Audi Q5, while Torrey gets the Audi A4. Ouch — sounds like Torrey certainly got the bum deal in this arrangement! Hopefully the couple can move past their differences and remain friends after such a difficult split.
