Im not saying the entire Mormon Church is a cult. Every religion has these extreme radical fundamentalist groups that still infiltrate old religious practices. This group believes that they are helping the person reach the afterlife after death of the flesh.

Blaming the murder on Mormons, the Mormon church is delirious. My greatx5 is Jedediah Grant (first counselor to Brigham Young) and his son. Heber J. Grant (7th President of the LDS church) is my greatx5 uncle. I was raised a Mormon but am now a Christian.

Not since the early 1990s have the Mormons practiced “blood atonement,” and sexual impurity has never been a reason for that death penalty. No, Jodi Arias murdered Travis Alexander because she couldn’t get out of him what she believed she’d invested in their relationship. So she killed him dead.

It’s really that simple. A person with borderline personality disorder (BPD) who is also a sociopath didn’t get what she wanted from a man who refused to give his life, his commitment to her so she murdered him.

She’s now been found guilty of 1st degree murder and will most likely be sentenced to death. That’s the Arizona way: You kill and we kill you back. Let the easy hore rot in jail and hell.

Im sorry to say but the mormon religion is a cult.No man can be a founder of a church or a religion.Religion comes from the bible. You follow its teachings and live by the bible. You dont follow a man and his teachings .What is Joseph Smith a GOD?You people listen to his teachings?Last time I read God is in heaven with Jesus his son. That would be the day I would follow some mans teachings. You people need to wake up and look somewhere else .I worship God ,not some man

I’m sorry, but last time I stooped low enough to say something about someone else’s religion I actually was curious enough and smart enough to do my research. First of all, basically any religion can be considered a cult. A cult is “a system of religious veneration or devotion directed toward a particular figure or object.” Thus, all religions are cults. Second, we do not worship Joseph Smith. We worship God the Father. Just like all other Christians. We do listen to his teachings. Just like Catholics follow the Pope and Muslims listen to the teaching of Muhammad and the early Christians followed Peter, Paul, etc. He was the leader of our church just like nearly every other religion has a leader. Next time, check your facts.

Basically, all Mormons do celebrate the birth of Joseph Smith, every year, in December. You call yourself a Mormon and didn’t know that fact of Mormonism? And Mormons are not and never have been Christians.

Gordon B. Hinckely, the 15th and the most recent LDS President of the Mormon church prior to the current president, has publicly stated that Mormons worship a different Jesus Christ than do Christians; so have many other Mormon leaders:

“”Christianity…is a perfect pack of nonsense…the devil could not invent a better engine to spread his work than the Christianity of the nineteenth century.” (Journal of Discourses, vol. 6, p.167); “Where shall we look for the true order or authority of God? It cannot be found in any nation of Christendom.”
– Prophet John Taylor, Journal of Discourses, 10:127

“Brother Taylor has just said that the religions of the day were hatched in hell. The eggs were laid in hell, hatched on its borders, and then kicked on to the earth.”
– Prophet Brigham Young, Journal of Discourses 6:176

“Both Catholics and Protestants are nothing less than the ‘whore of Babylon’ whom the Lord denounces by the mouth of John the Revelator as having corrupted all the earth by their fornications and wickedness. Any person who shall be so corrupt as to receive a holy ordinance of the Gospel from the ministers of any of these apostate churches will be sent down to hell with them, unless they repent”
– Apostle Orson Pratt proclaimed, The Seer, p. 255

“After the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints was organized, there were only two churches upon the earth. They were known respectively as the Church of the Lamb of God and Babylon. The various organizations which are called churches throughout Christendom, though differing in their creeds and organizations, have one common origin. They all belong to Babylon”
– George Q. Cannon said, Gospel Truth, p.324

“When the light came to me I saw that all the so-called Christian world was grovelling in darkness.”
– Prophet Brigham Young, Journal of Discourses 5:73

“With a regard to true theology, a more ignorant people never lived than the present so-called Christian world.”
– Prophet Brigham Young, Journal of Discourses 8:199

“The Christian world, so-called, are heathens as to the knowledge of the salvation of God”
– Prophet Brigham Young, Journal of Discourses 8:171

“Christians—those poor, miserable priests brother Brigham was speaking about—some of them are the biggest whoremasters there are on the earth, and at the same time preaching righteousness to the children of men. The poor devils, they could not get up here and preach an oral discourse, to save themselves from hell; they are preaching their fathers’ sermons —preaching sermons that were written a hundred years before they were born. …You may get a Methodist priest to pour water on you, or sprinkle it on you, and baptize you face foremost, or lay you down the other way, and whatever mode you please, and you will be damned with your priest.
– Apostle Heber C. Kimball, Journal of Discourses, 5:89

“The Gospel of modern Christendom shuts up the Lord, and stops all communication with Him. I want nothing to do with such a Gospel, I would rather prefer the Gospel of the dark ages, so called”
– Prophet Wilford Woodruff, Journal of Discourses, vol. 2, p.196

“But as there has been no Christian Church on the earth for a great many centuries past, until the present century, the people have lost sight of the pattern that God has given according to which the Christian Church should be established, and they have denominated a great variety of Christian Churches … But there has been a long apostasy, during which the nations have been cursed with apostate churches in great abundance”
– Apostle Orson Pratt, Journal of Discourses, 18:172

“What! Are Christians ignorant? Yes, as ignorant of the things of God as the brute best.”
– Prophet John Taylor, Journal of Discourses 13:225

“What does the Christian world know about God? Nothing… Why so far as the things of God are concerned, they are the veriest fools; they know neither God nor the things of God.”
– John Taylor, Journal of Discourses 13:225

“Doctrines were corrupted, authority lost, and a false order of religion took the place of the gospel of Jesus Christ, just as it had been the case in former dispensations, and the people were left in spiritual darkness.” (p. 266). “For hundreds of years the world was wrapped in a veil of spiritual darkness, until there was not one fundamental truth belonging to the place of salvation …Joseph Smith declared that in the year 1820 the Lord revealed to him that all the ‘Christian’ churches were in error, teaching for commandments the doctrines of men.”
– Prophet Joseph Fielding Smith, Doctrines of Salvation, vol. 3, p.282

“…the Book of Mormon remains secure, unchanged and unchangeable, …But with the Bible it was not and is not so….it was once in the sole and exclusive care and custody of an abominable organization (Christianity), founded by the devil himself, likened prophetically unto a great whore, whose great aim and purpose was to destroy the souls of men in the name of religion. In these hands it ceased to be the book it once was.”
– Apostle Bruce R. McConkie, The Joseph Smith Translation, pp. 12, 13

“And also those to whom these commandments were given, might have power to lay the foudation of this (Mormon) church, and to bring it forth out of obscurity and out of darkness, the only true and living church upon the face of the whole earth…”
– Supposedly Jesus Christ Himself, Doctrine and Covenants 1:30

Salvation not through accepting Jesus Christ, but Joseph Smith?

[There is] “no salvation without accepting Joseph Smith. If Joseph Smith was verily a prophet, and if he told the truth…no man can reject that testimony without incurring the most dreadful consequences, for he cannot enter the kingdom of God”
– Joseph Fielding Smith, Doctrines of Salvation, vol. 1, p.190″

Mormons are not Christian and are evil followers of a lying satan.

This article is a joke right? I am Catholic and I don’t believe one word of this sick conspiracy theory. That Bryan Carr is a loser from the Canton Ohio area. Can’t hold a job. Has a record. Got a girl heather pregnant and bailed. His word means nothing. I would think your time doing an article would be better spent ridiculing this idiot or putting him on the spot for his shady past. So if it’s that simple to get fiction printed as truth when a man was butchered I say shame on you. You are no better than him.she did it period. She planned it period. She covered it up period. And her words were she didn’t want to be caught and on the stand said she most likely would never have turned herself in. Death is almost too good for her. Trust me if by some fluke she was ever free I bet she would not survive long. People put her on the same level as dahmer. And we know what happened to him. Please do yourself a favor and do some real journalism. Check out carrs past. Here’s a story for you.

What does being Catholic have to do with the Mormon religion? It would make sense that you would respond the way you are since you know nothing about the history of the Mormon Church. I too am a Catholic, but my religious beliefs have nothing to do with this case. Why does it matter where Brian Carr is from, if he has a job or not, whether he has a traffic violation or is a dead beat dad? There are innocent people who plead guilty and do jail time for the protection of there family or even people they don’t know. Just because she said she did it, doesn’t mean she did. She said she did, but if you educate yourself on this particular religious history, rituals and ceremonies you might find there are way too many coincidences that are exactly in this case. Unfortunately, I don’t believe you will however because you won’t waste your time. If Bryan Carr in your opinion wasn’t a “loser” would you consider what he’s saying? Please do yourself a favor and keep an open mind, stranger things have happened. I decided to read into these religious practices, look at all the parties testomonies, the evidence in this case and Jodi Arias confessions herself and have found that this could have indeed happened. Keep and open mind Sher, you never know if this could be your family member facing the death penalty or worse, brutally murdered.

I agree with you, Tam4truth. I think this possibility should be investigated thoroughly. I don’t see how she would have had the physical strength to drag him down a hallway, slit his throat in three inches including cutting his windpipe. If he was killed in their blood atoneright right, she could very well be admitting to the killing from fear that her family would be hurt or killed. Too much evidence, testimony, witnesses and information were missing from that trial in my opinion.

Leah,

I think the people who violated the standard didn’t tell the bishop. Therefore they don’t know about it. I think it is safe to say that something will happened when you notice the bishop that someone committed a sin.

Yes, something does happen. They help you repent. I have personally gone through the process with slightly (only slightly) less serious sins… And I know people who have gone to their bishops about serious sins. Most of the time they aren’t even excommunicated or anything serious. As long as you show remorse and are willing to work with the Bishop, he is kind and understanding and helpful.

That explains why I’m a dead person commenting!!! Man oh man thanks for the enlightenment guys! When I left the church and had sex they totally killed me. NOT . I used to be Mormon and Joseph Smith never said such a thing. The man didn’t even accept a shot of whiskey to help with the pain of setting his broken leg. But yeah makes sense that he secretly advocated ritualistic violence

Joseph Smith, founder of the Mormon Church advocated slitting the throat from ear to ear, shooting in forehead and stabbing in the heart for punishment of sins. So she may be innocent if the Mormons found out about his sexual misconduct.

Blood Atonement makes for good fiction, and consirisy theorists, but the fact that not one actual instance of the practice exists is troublesome for those who want to claim it’s running rampant. Even if you go to the pioneer days you can’t find any evidence that an individual was ever killed for abandoning his Mormon faith. And there are plenty of ex-Mormons out there to prove it’s not that difficult to leave the church and they don’t seem to be afraid to speak up about it.

The practice of Blood Atonement is alive and well courtesy of the Mormon Mafia, who routinely go after people who dare to expose the corruption that is rampant throughout the church. Please check out the book “The Great and Most Abominable: The Prophetic Cleansing of the Mormon Church” for countless documented cases of this and more crimes committed and covered up by the Mormon church.

THERE IS ABSOLUTELY NO WAY A TINY WOMAN DID THIS IN 2 MINUTES AS PHOTOS SHOW!!! Most people could not cut steaks or chickens in 2 minutes. COMMON SENSE PEOPLE…..COMMON SENSE!!! AND THE 200 lb. DEAD BODY WAS DRAGGED????? IT HAS MORMAN MAFIA WRITTEN ALL OVER IT. Jodi may have been involved but she was clearly out of her mind or the camera would not have ended up in the washing machine. AND PAY ATTENTION PEOPLE!!!!!! ALL TRAVIS’ DEVOTED WORSHIPPING MORMON FRIENDS AND HIS ROOMATE DID NOT SHOW UP FOR 5 DAYS?????????? 5 DAYS????? THEY CALLED HIM THE DAY HE DIED AND WAITED 5 DAYS TO CHECK ON HIM…..A MAN WHO COMMUNICATED EVERY FEW SECONDS!!!! MORMAN MAFIA PEOPLE!!!! WAKE UP!!! And one more fact….the 911 call played over and over on CNN says “OUR FRIEND IS DEAD IS HIS BEDROOM.”
In the trial they claim as a fact that he was found dead in the shower. They are searching for the truth in the wrong place and many of the “holier than thou” Mormans know it. YCCCCHHHH!!!!!

Nonsense! I was a member of the Morman Church for 9 years and the only reason I left is because I didn’t feel that I could live up to the standards honestly. There was no problem with any members than they tried to have me stay! It is a very family oriented religion and I loved the experience. As soon as I feel I can live up to it I will rejoin.!

If you read the early history of the church( journal of discourses ) by Brigham Young you will see there is blood atonement however not practiced today. I am an inactive Mormon who believes the church is false and misleading. It’s teachings are misleading. I do love all people and enjoy the Mormons because of their innocent and deceptive yet smart way they were raised. It’s a trip now looking in from the outside. Jodi looks like a crazy guilty person to me. The Mormon church attracts people like this as does Charles Manson but is too smart to be tied to a murder, those days are over. Jodi’s boyfriend was only an elder and that’s not too high of rank. If anyone reading this is Mormon, look into the historical facts of the Mormon church and hold on for you are in for a ride. Make choices based on the results not right or wrong guilt.

you know i think you are wrong! you don’t know what you talking about…Jodie is already a psychopath before she meet Travis Alexander… Then she been on another man already… she has a failed-relationship with this older guy, then we don’t know how many more man she had before she meet Travis. why some people still go to her side even though the evidence is so many… she lie many times and she is a stalker… you know what? so simple she want Travis because he is very attractive man, successful, single and have a new house. Jodie don’t have everything, she is living with her grandparents not her own parents… why??? because she can’t get along with them. And i think everyone know’s that grandparents no matter what still love their grandchild. Like what this older man said they buy house together with Jodie but she fail to do her duty about paying of everything, Jodie is NOTHING but evil inside her heart. when she first meet Travis she have an agenda to Travis that’s why she converted to The Mormon Religion… from the very beginning her agenda is already evil…religion is not the problem here, her problem is her own evil inside her… she even said that when she been baptize on that day she have sex with Travis oh my God! so horrible she is pure evil.Travis is a virgin on that time… that’s why Travis can’t get away from her because he been trap already by the devil… he try to escape but its to late. so don’t blame it to the religion, I’m a Christian “Born Again Christian” but it is up to us if we submit our-self to GOD or to the devil… for me is not the religion who can save us it is our faith in GOD and most of all our relationship with our Lord Jesus Christ. simple if your GOD is good, do the good things that can glorify, for GOD is good.

Ignorance and evil imaginings are one thing, but to be so arrogant as to express such darkness publically is quite another. Why is it that so many delight in a lie? Why do they love darkness rather than light?
