Chris Brown Faked Community Service? — DA: Probation Violation

Chris Brown Probation Violated

Uh oh. The District Attorney claims Chris faked his community service — he may be heading to jail! What will Rihanna do?

The Los Angeles County District Attorney filed legal documents claiming Chris Brown has violated his probation by submitting fake community service records. According to the lega documents, Chris lied about completing his community service stemming from the Rihanna assault case.

The Los Angeles District Attorney tells HollywoodLife.com, “Entertainer Chris Brown failed to provide ‘credible, competent or verifiable evidence’ that he completed his court-ordered community labor. [We] asked the court to order Brown to fulfill his obligation in Los Angeles County.”

Bryan T. Norwood, the Chief of Police in Richmond, Virginia, reportedly wrote a letter to the judge on September 14, 2012, claiming that Chris successfully completed 202 days of community service out of the 180 sentence to him on August 25, 2009 as part of a five-year probationary sentence for assault.

The documents allegedly claim that Chris, 23, worked at Tappahannock Children’s Center and did jobs such as painting, washing windows, waxing floors, cutting grass and picking up trash, TMZ reports.

The judge was suspicious upon receiving the letter, TMZ notes. When the DA did some investigating, they found no “credible, competent or verifiable evidence” that Chris completed his 180 days of community service.

In a motion filed by Deputy District Attorney Mary Murray, the court was asked to decline to accept Chris’ community labor in Virginia due to what appears to be “significant discrepancies indicating at best sloppy documentation and at worst fraudulent reporting.”

Chris Brown: Doomed By Damning Legal Documents?

TMZ has obtained legal documents that reportedly show that the Richmond P.D. admitted to only having supervised Chris on “nine or 10 occasions,” leaving him completely unsupervised on all other dates. The detective who had been assigned to oversee the community service was reportedly told she didn’t have to continue monitoring at the Children’s Center. The times, location, and types of duty were instead provided by Chris’ mom, Joyce Hawkins, who TMZ says was once the director of the center.

The documents also allege that Chris’ lawyer, Mark Geragos, “instructed” the lawyer representing the Richmond P.D. on how to “handle” L.A. County D.A. investigators’ questions about the troubled R&B star’s community service. It’s also alleged that Mark informed the probation officer of a court order to remove Chris’ community service from the probation department and handed over to the Chief of Police, whom the D.A. claims Chris had a prior relationship with. As it turns out, no such court order existed.

It’s also been alleged that the Administrator of the Children’s Center tried coaching the man who waxes the floor on what to say to D.A. investigators, but the man refused to lie and had already admitted that he was the only person who waxed any floors for the past three years, contradicting Chris’ claims of having waxed the floors on occasion.

Chris’ Mom, Joyce Hawkins, Guilty Of ‘Orchestrating’ The Fraud?

The D.A. claims that Joyce was responsible for “orchestrating” work at the Children’s Center outside of their normal operating hours. Also, a key administrator told the D.A. that she never witnessed Chris working at the center. Sources tell TMZ that there was no way that the singer could have performed any work on some of the days claimed because he was out of the country, performing concerts.

Breezy’s Other Possible Probation Violations

Not only is Chris in hot water for the alleged community service fraud, but the D.A. is looking into other possible probation violations, including his recent fight with Frank Ocean, his having tested positive for marijuana, the Miami incident where he grabbed and threw a fan’s phone, his failure to obtain a travel permit, and the time he threw a chair through a window at Good Morning America.

What do YOU think, HollywoodLifers? Did Chris fake his community service? Should he be punished?

I’ve been wondering when they’d finally bring him in for all his crap. the court should’ve order more anger management and given him some jail time regardless of what his doormat of a girlfriend wanted.

From my end it seems no-one will be happy until he’s career is over. I trust Rih & kae will stand by him. I sure hope non of this affects Chrianna. Stay strong.

Another thing why was this case ever in VA when the incident happened in LA? It appears that he has to answer to both VA and LA courts and who would have wanted to do that? But as much as I love CB this is not a good luck if it’s true.

If this so called investigation was going on since Sept what is taking so long to determine? It just seems like it’s odd that the anniversary is coming soon and this is just now making the news. HMMMMMMM!!! Bottom line for his sake I hope it’s not true. If his mother and lawyer is lying they need to go to jail along with him. Truthfully speaking if I was him, I would take jail he would get out in about a couple of weeks since LA jails are so crowded and I believe his probation would be over. Case closed let the man live his life.

One thing about the court system… if you try and pull the wool over their heads and get caught…like one attorney I know said, “this aint no MTV video…this is real life…..he could be in more trouble, and they would love to make an example out of him right about now. I hope he clears this up!!!! I also would hope his mom didn’t co-sign on any of this fkae paper work business, and damage his career even further. Courts love to punish stars (except Lindsay Lohan), she should have been UNDER someones jail by now!

WHAT?!!

Posted at 4:13 PM on February 5, 2013

Is this some type of vendetta against CB? Really? The fact that they are investigating his community service in VA after a law enforcement individual told them it was complete is (in and of itself) indicative of how badly they want to get this guy. Who does that?!!!

Chris did faked his community service. I’ve seen the paperwork online and I read the information about it before it hit hollywoodlife. I know Chris frustrated about this probation, but he have one more year and he will be finish. Chris just have to continuing working hard and keep his head up, and before you know it August of 2013 be here. Chris Brown will be a completer.

Isn’t it obvious he completed random hours here and there and then suddenly he worked 1000 hours at his MOM’s old job, I thought they would have caught on to that a bit quicker….

Community Service absolutely be faked, just by getting the signer to sign off on the paperwork. Been done many times. Everything and anything can be “signed off” and/or faked.

@Lisa sorry about the abuse you went through; however, not every case is the same. It is a big difference between somebody being abused and an altercation. Either way it’s wrong but don’t lump everyone in the same category. Furthermore, your ex had a record before hand because sorry to say on the first offense going to jail happens like almost never. As a matter of fact CB probation was actually longer than they would have given the next nobody. Anyway it’s good to know that someone can be rehabilitated because let the media tell it someone who does that act will always be a loser, and I for one know that’s not true.
