Ben opens up to ‘The Hollywood Reporter’ revealing that he still keeps in touch with his ex Jennifer Lopez! Read on to find out WHY and how often they talk!
Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez‘s much-talked about romance started and ended right in front of the camera-snapping paparazzi. But despite their dramatic ending — a called off engagement — Ben, 40, reveals there are no hurt feelings between the two.
“We don’t have the kind of relationship where she relies on me for advice, but we do have the kind of relationship where there’ll be an e-mail saying, ‘Oh, your movie looks great,’” Ben tells The Hollywood Reporter.
Ben even reached out to J-Lo, 43, when she snagged a spot on the American Idol judging panel.
“I remember when she got American Idol. I said: ‘This was really smart. Good luck.’ I touch base. I respect her. I like her. She’s put up with some stuff that was unfair in her life, and I’m really pleased to see her successful,” he says.
Ben and J-Lo started dating in 2002 and got engaged in 2004, but ended it the same year citing negative media attention. Ben eventually married Jennifer Garner in 2005 and together they have three kids: Violet, Seraphina, and Samuel.
We’re happy to hear that they’re mature and have put any bad feelings aside that were left after their relationship ended!

I love that two people that use to be in a relationship can be mature enough to still have respect for one another and just be kind and civil to each other! It’s also nice to finely hear something positive about Jennifer Lopez instead of all the “gross” feelings he was quoted before as stating! Hopefully it’s not just P.R. stunt for his movie!
