‘Zoey 101’ Cast Then & Now: See Jamie Lynn Spears & More All Grown Up

It’s time to go back to Pacific Coast Academy!

Most of the Zoey 101 is reuniting for the all-new Paramount+ movie Zoey 102, which comes 18 years after we were first introduced to Zoey, Chase, Michael, Logan, Quinn, and more. The original movie premiered on July 27.

Your faves will be returning to Malibu for the wedding of Logan and Quinn — yes, really — in what will be a high school reunion for the ages. In Zoey 102, Zoey is still trying to figure out life and love. Zoey and Chase haven’t heard from each other in years, but that’s all going to change when Quinn and Logan announce their wedding.

Jamie Lynn Spears returning, alongside Sean Flynn, Erin Sanders, Matthew Underwood, Christopher Massey, Abby Wilde, and Jack Salvatore. Thomas Lennon, Owen Thiele, Dean Geyer, and more have joined the cast of the sequel. In honor of ‘Zoey 102,’ take a trip down memory lane and see the Zoey 101 cast then and now.

Jamie Lynn Spears played the one and only Zoey Brooks in the hit Nickelodeon. Following the show’s end in 2008, Jamie Lynn gave birth to her daughter, Maddie, when she was 17 years old. She married Jamie Watson in 2014 and gave birth to her second child, Ivey, in 2018. Jamie Lynn released her first EP ‘The Journey’ in 2014. She made her return to acting in the Netflix series ‘Sweet Magnolias,’ which premiered in 2020. She also competed in the FOX series ‘Special Forces: World’s Toughest Test.’

Sean Flynn

Sean Flynn starred as Chase Matthews, who had the ultimate will-they-or-won’t-they relationship with Zoey. Since ‘Zoey 101’ ended, Sean has pivoted to being a producer for Donatello Arm. He has appeared TV shows and films, including ‘Devious Maids.’ Sean got married Lyndsey Monconduit in 2022. He return as Chase in ‘Zoey 102.’

Matthew Underwood

Matthew Underwood played the adorable & uber popular Logan Reese in ‘Zoey 101.’ Matthew took a nearly 10-year break from acting before starring in the 2017 movies ‘The Golden Stars’ and ‘The Magic Studio.’ He is also a filmmaker. Matthew was arrested twice in 2012. In 2017, he notably rescued a baby from a car crash after the parents passed out from suspected drug use. Matthew is returning to the role of Logan in ‘Zoey 102.’

Erin Sanders

Erin Sanders played fan favorite Quinn Pensky throughout ‘Zoey 101’s run. After the Nickelodeon show ended, Erin began playing Eden on ‘The Young and the Restless.’ She also had a recurring role in the Big Time Rush’ TV series. Prior to her return for ‘Zoey 102,’ the actor/writer/director starred in the 2020 movie ‘The Call.’

Paul Butcher played Dustin Brooks, Zoey’s younger brother. Since ‘Zoey 101’ has come to an end, Paul has had a number of voice roles. He had a recurring role in the series ‘MyMusic.’ Paul has recently become a TikTok star with over 1.1 million followers. Paul is a musician as well and has released a number of singles. He is not returning for ‘Zoey 102.’

Christopher Massey

Christopher Massey played Michael Barret in the hit Nickelodeon show. After ‘Zoey 101,’ he appeared on ‘Everybody Hates Chris’ and ‘Switched At Birth.’ He was a guest star on ‘All That’ in 2020 along with the rest of the ‘Zoey 101’ cast. Christopher will reprise the role of Michael in ‘Zoey 102.’

Christopher is a father to 3 kids. He was assaulted and robbed by rapper Lil Twist in 2015. In 2016, Christopher was arrested for domestic violence involving Cassie Jackson, the mother of one of his kids. The following year, he was granted a temporary restraining order against Shar Jackson, Cassie’s mother.

Victoria Justice joined the cast of ‘Zoey 101’ in season 2 as Lola Martinez. She went on to star in her own Nickelodeon sitcom ‘Victorious,’ which aired from 2010 to 2013. Victoria has appeared in a number of TV shows and films over the years. She released her debut single ‘Gold’ in 2013. In honor of her 30th birthday, Victoria released the song ‘Last Man Standing.’ She’s planning on releasing her debut album in the future. She will not be returning for ‘Zoey 102.’

Alexa Nikolas played Nicole Bristow, Zoey’s best friend, for the first 2 seasons of ‘Zoey 101.’ She’s appeared in epsidoes of ‘The Walking Dead,’ ‘CSI: Miami,’ ‘Mad Men,’ and more. Her latest TV appearance was in 2013. Alexa is currently expecting her second child with husband Michael Gray.

Alexa is the founder of the Eat Predators movement, which aims to call out predatory behavior in the entertainment industry. Alexa has been open about her experience with Nickelodeon and claims she ‘did not feel’ safe around ‘Zoey 101’ creator Dan Schneider.
