We Can Be Heroes is a new Netflix film directed by Robert Rodriguez. The synopsis reads, ‘When alien invaders kidnap Earth’s superheroes, their children must team up and learn to work together if they want to save their parents and the world.’ The movie is actually a stand-alone sequel to The Adventures of Sharkboy and Lavagirl in 3-D, which was released in 2005. Taylor Dooley returns as Lavagirl. JJ Dashnaw plays Sharkboy, but he has a silent cameo.
