Teairra Mari is an American singer-songwriter, dancer, model and actress. Perhaps, she gained much of her popularity by being a part of the cast on ‘Love and Hip Hop: Hollywood.’ For those of you who are not already familiar with the ‘Love and Hip Hop’ franchise, the show typically follows a group of rising stars who are trying to make it big in the music industry. Other members in this Hollywood hip-hop music scene (aka Teairra Mari’s castmates) include actor/singer Ray J, rapper Soulja Boy, rapper Lil Fizz, producer Safaree Samuels, and nightclub manager Nikki Mudarris.
Before becoming a popular TV personality, though, Mari began her music career at the tender age of 16 when Jay Z signed her to Def Jam. While at the record label, she dropped her first album ever, ‘Roc-A-Fella Records Presents Teairra Marí.’
In 2010, she even dipped her toes in the acting world, as she starred in the film ‘Lottery Ticket’ alongside Bow Wow and Ice Cube.
