‘Sex And The City’ Characters: Meet The Stars Of The OG Series & Reboot — City slickers! ‘Sex And The City’ is one of the most iconic shows of the turn of the Millenium, known for its candid comedy, fab fashion and signature sass. And now that the series has turned 24 and has an entire reboot under its belt, it’s amazing to look back at how far series regulars Carrie Bradshaw (Sarah Jessica Parker), Miranda Hobbes (Cynthia Nixon), and Charlotte York (Kristin Davis) have come!

‘And Just Like’ that had some changes to the ‘SATC’ lineup. While most of Carrie and the gang will be back, Samantha Jones (Kim Cattrall) didn’t appear in the reboot. ‘And Just Like That…’ introduced a more diverse cast of characters, inviting Sarita Choudhury, Nicole Ari Parker, Karen Pittman, and Sara Ramírez into the mix.

Sarah Jessica Parker stars as Carrie Bradshaw

Sarah Jessica Parker stars as Carrie Bradshaw — Carrie Bradshaw became an icon from the moment ‘Sex And The City’ premiered in June 1998. The character was partially inspired by author Candace Bushnell but she took on a life of her own once Sarah Jessica Parker stepped into her shoes. The original ‘Sex And The City’ follows the ups and downs of Carrie’s love life as she writes about dating for a newspaper column. Keeping with the times, Carrie pivoted her career to podcasting by the time ‘And Just Like That…’ takes place. Her two main love interests are John James “Mr. Big” Preston (Chris Noth) and Aiden Shaw (played by John Corbett). While ‘And Just Like That…’ was filming, the leading lady was seen kissing a new character, played by actor Jon Tenney, signaling her relationship with Big may have come to an end.

Kristin Davis plays Charlotte York-Goldenblatt

Kristin Davis plays Charlotte York-Goldenblatt — Charlotte York-Goldenblatt (played by Kristin Davis) is Carrie’s prim and proper pal who hails from Connecticut’s high-society set. Though known for her conservative outlook, she often surprises her friend with her openness in the bedroom. The art dealer makes her first appearance in episode one and is a regular through the series, also appearing in the two ‘SATC’ films. By the time ‘And Just Like That…’ takes place, Charlotte is a busy mom raising two kids with husband Harry Goldenblatt, played by Evan Handler.

Cynthia Nixon Is Miranda Hobbes

Cynthia Nixon Is Miranda Hobbes — Miranda Hobbes (played by Cynthia Nixon) is Carrie’s no-nonsense lawyer friend who debuted during the premiere season of ‘SATC’. Though she tends to have cynical views about dating, Miranda softens when she and on/off boyfriend Steve have a son together. By ‘And Just Like That…’ Miranda is dealing with how to raise a teenager who is quickly coming of age.

Chris Noth Played Mr. Big

Chris Noth Played Mr. Big — Mr. Big (played by Chris Noth) is one of Carrie’s main love interests in ‘SATC.’ He makes his first appearance in episode 1 as a friendly stranger who helps Carrie with her purse. Through their relationship, the couple struggles with his fear of commitment and split several times before wedding in ‘Sex And The City: The Movie’. The fairytale romance may have taken a turn in the reboot.

Fans began to think Carrie and Big might be over when they saw SJP kissing actor Jon Tenney during ‘And Just Like That…’ shoots in Oct. 2021. It turned out his character was killed off in one of the first episodes. Shortly after the series’ premiere, Chris Noth faced accusations of sexual misconduct.

Bobby Lee Joins The Mix — Comedian Bobby Lee has a role in ‘And Just Like That…’. His character is Carrie’s podcast co-host Jackie Nee. He was seen filming with Sarah Jessica Parker on Nov. 7 2021. The funnyman posted about his part on social media Nov. 8, calling SJP “the best.”

Sara Ramirez Plays Che Diaz

Sara Ramirez Plays Che Diaz — ‘Grey’s Anatomy’ talent Sara Ramirez took the ‘Sex And The City’ world by storm as non-binary character Che Diaz. Sara’s character uses they/them pronouns and is a “stand-up comedian that hosts a podcast on which Carrie Bradshaw is regularly featured.” Over time, her relationship with Miranda gets rather cozy. Here, Che struts around a pride event during ‘And Just Like That…’ filming on Nov. 22 2021.

Ari Nicole Parker Plays Lisa Todd Wexley

Ari Nicole Parker Plays Lisa Todd Wexley — Ari Nicole Parker is joining ‘And Just Like That…’ as Lisa Todd Wexley, a documentarian and mom of three. Ari is well known for her roles in ‘Empire’, ‘Boogie Nights’ and ‘Chicago P.D.’. Marital strife with her husband, played by Christopher Jackson, is said to be at the center of her storyline. Nicole and Kristin Davis look fashion-forward while shooting on Aug. 31 2021.

Mario Cantone Returns As Anthony Marentino

Mario Cantone Returns As Anthony Marentino — The hilarious Mario Cantone is back as brash and bawdy event planner Anthony Marentino. Anthony first appeared in season 3, episode 11 as the event planner, who becomes close to Charlotte after organizing her first wedding. Mario and SJP get serious during a July 23 shoot in New York.

Willis Garson is Stanford Blatch

Willis Garson is Stanford Blatch — Willie Garson filmed several scenes as Carrie’s other BFF, Stanford Blatch before his death from pancreatic cancer in Sept. 2021. Creators decided not to write Willie’s death into the series, according to showrunner Michael Patrick King. Willie and on-screen husband Mario Cantone appear in the ‘SATC’ movie in 2008.

Evan Handler Returns As Harry Goldenblatt

Evan Handler Returns As Harry Goldenblatt — Charlotte’s husband Harry Goldenblatt (played by Evan Handler) appears in ‘And Just Like That…’. He made his debut on the show during season 5 as Charlotte’s divorce attorney. Though Charlotte initially finds some of his habits offputting, she quickly finds they have more than enough chemistry behind closed doors. The couple is still going strong in ‘And Just Like That…’ where they raise daughters Lily and Rose. Cathy Ang will play piano prodigy daughter Lily while Alexa Swinton will portray her little sister.

David Eigenberg Comes Back As Steve Brady — David Eigenberg is back as Miranda’s partner Steve Brady. Steve first appears in season 2 as a one-night stand which becomes something more serious . In season 4 Miranda finds out she’s pregnant and decides to settle down with her on/off partner. The duo are still going strong when ‘And Just Like That…’ stars. While dealing with their eldest’s growing up seemed like the most of their worries, the couple encounters other obstacles. Brady Hobbes will be played by “Life In Pieces” star Niall Cunningham.
