Before Seth Moulton became a congressman, he was a graduate of Harvard University and a Marine Corps. Captain. Upon leaving Harvard in 2001, he joined the Marines following the events of September 11th. Moulton served four tours of duty in the Iraq War, leaving the Marine Corps. in 2008 with the rank of Captain. He later publicly criticized the war, saying that it was based on a “lie” about the existence of weapons of mass destruction. Moulton got his Master’s degree and went into the public sector, before running for Congress in 2014. He won, becoming the Representative of Massachusetts’ 6th district. He won reelection in 2016. Moulton married Liz Boardman in 2017; they have a daughter, Emmy Moulton, born in 2018. Moulton announced in April 2019 that he would be running for president as a democrat in the 2020 election, against President Donald Trump. He would become the youngest president in United States history if he won.
