Denzel Spencer, aka Roy Wood$ is a Canadian singer, rapper and songwriter signed under none other than OVO Sound (in case you haven’t been keeping up, that’s the record label co-founded by multi-platinum artist Drake). Woods received much positive feedback when Drake premiered their collaborative single “Drama” on July 11, 2015 and when they put up the first music video for his song, “Jealousy” on July 31, 2015 (which today has garnered over 9,000,000 views on YouTube). The two tracks were off his debut EP Exis, which was later released on October 9, 2015.
The 23-year-old talent already has quite the following and is only gaining even more attention as we speak. His latest track “Juliet & Romeo” has been at the peak number of 36 on the Billboard charts for five weeks straight now.
