Ron Lester is an actor best known for his role as Billy Bob in the 1999 film ‘Varsity Blues.’
The Georgia native landed his first acting gig when he moved to Atlanta, where he would appear as an extra in a commercial. Luckily, this gig turned out to be much bigger than he anticipated, and his part turned out to be a feature part.
Lester then moved to Los Angeles, where he would take on bigger and better roles. The 1997 film ‘Good Burger’ was his first big Hollywood gig. The actor continued to gain fans and popularity with other roles in ‘Freaks and Geeks,’ ‘Popular,’ and ‘Not Another Teen Movie.’
Sadly, Lester’s career came to an end when he died in the hospital of liver and kidney failure on June 17, 2016. He suffered from liver and kidney issues and was on life support for about a year until he died at the tender age of 45 years old.
