Rick Moranis, born April 18, 1953, is an actor who famously rose to prominence in the 1980s. Rick is an alumnus of the famous Second City troupe and acted in the early 80s in the two series ‘SCTV’ and ‘SCTV Network,’ for which he won an Emmy award for writing. Rick went on to star in a number of 80s films, including ‘Ghostbusters,’ ‘Little Shop of Horrors,’ ‘Space Balls,’ and ‘Honey, I Shrunk The Kids.’ In 1997, Rick took a break from public life to raise his two children after the tragic death of his wife, Ann. Since then, Rick has mainly done voiceover work and a few guest appearances in a few cable TV shows.
