Pia Toscano is an American singer who gained popularity on the tenth season of ‘American Idol,’ which premiered on January 19, 2011. ‘American Idol’ is one of the longest-running American singing competition television series of all time. It was created by Simon Fuller, produced by FremantleMedia North America, and distributed by Fremantle North America. It has been running for 16 seasons now and has been a platform for thousands of contestants since the premiere of its first season on June 11, 2002.
Toscano had actually auditioned for ‘American Idol’ four times before her East Rutherford, New Jersey audition in 2010 for the show’s tenth season, in which she was put through to Hollywood and remarkably made it through to the Top 24.
Upon making it big on TV and in the music scene, she started booking appearances and performances on several talk shows, such as ‘The Tonight Show with Jay Leno,’ ‘Live with Regis and Kelly,’ ‘Today,’ and ‘The Ellen DeGeneres Show.’
