Lil Xan (assigned Nicholas Diego Leanos at birth), is one of the many lil rappers that have emerged within the past few years. He is known for pursuing a recently discovered genre of music known as “sad rap.” (And yes, his name derives from exactly what you think it does)
Xan started making music for the niche listeners of SoundCloud and YouTube, and gained more popularity when he released the music video for “Betrayed” in August 2017. The song was instantly certified platinum by the RIAA and even peaked at number 64 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.
While the rising rapper may be in his feels writing “sad boy” music, there is one thing (or person) that does seem to put him in quite a good mood. And that is no one but singer/actress Noah Cyrus, of course!
