The predictions lead him to believe the world is ending, and that he and his son are involved in the apocalypse. The film also stars Chandler Canterbury, Rose Byrne and Nadia Townsend. On March 23, Nicolas and girlfriend of nearly a year Erika Koike married in a quicklie Las Vegas ceremony. He filled for an annulment four days later claiming he was too intoxicated to know what he was doing. On April 22, Erika hit him with a spousal support request, claiming she lost work as a makeup artist while as his girlfriend and that his allegations against her hurt her reputation. They officially divorced in June 2019.

Nicolas went on to find love again with Riko Shibata. They were spotted on a few lunch dates in NYC in early March 2020, before she headed back to her native Japan amid the COVID-19 lockdown that began a few weeks later. The couple stayed in touch via FaceTime, and he proposed in Aug. 2020 via the remote video. The pair wed in Las Vegas on Feb. 16, 2021, with 26-year-old Riko taking her 56-year-old husband’s last name.
