Naomi Scott and Mena Massoud are officially Disney superstars! They recently starred in the 2019 live-action adaptation of Disney’s 1992 animated film, ‘Aladdin.’ The musical fantasy film was released on May 24, 2019 and directed by Guy Ritchie, as well as co-written by John August.
(And in case, it’s been a while since you’ve watched the classic Disney movie, let us remind you of just how cute it is! The movie follows the life of a street urchin who meets the love of his life, who happens to be Princess Jasmine, the daughter of the sultan of Agrabah. While cozying up to Princess Jasmine he simultaneously befriends a genie he finds in a magic oil lamp.)
Scott portrayed the spirited Princess of Agrabah, Jasmine, and Massoud portrayed charming street urchin, Aladdin. The two stars were notably casted by Disney after a whopping 2,000 actors were screened for the iconic roles.
Before landing this gig, Scott has appeared in Disney TV movie ‘Lemonade Mouth’ and Massoud has appeared in Amazon hit series ‘Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan.’
