Michael Phelps, born June 30, 1985, is a former Olympic athlete who was decorated with a slew of gold medal during the height of his career. Since swimming onto the scene in 2004, Michael has earned roughly 23 gold medals from the Olympic games, 3 silver medals and 2 bronze medals. He is among the most decorated Olympic athletes of all time. Following his time as an Olympic swimmer, Michael turned his sights on being an advocate for mental health research and those who struggle with their own mental health, having contemplated suicide following the 2012 Olympics and struggling with ADHD and Depression. In 2016, Michael married his wife, Nicole. The couple share three sons – Boomer, born May 2016, Beckett, born Feb. 2018, and Maverick, born Sept. 2019.
