The Canadian actor is most recently and most popularly known for his lead role in the 2019 live-action adaptation of Disney classic ‘Aladdin’ (which we might add, is a role he fully deserves, and we fully support the casting decision here).
Before moving to Canada, Massoud was born in Cairo, Egypt where he grew up watching Egyptian comedy films by geniuses like Ismail Yassin and Adel Imam. He has since been studying the body language and facial expressions of different actors.
He then went on to star in a number of comedies and dramas as a professional actor in America. His resume includes ‘Poser’ (2011), ‘Cut to the Chase’ (2012), ‘Open Heart’ (2015), and all time fan-favorite, Tom Clancy’s ‘Jack Ryan’ (2019).
His upcoming project is a fantasy animation, in which he will voice the celebrated 13th century poet, Rumi.
