Maroon 5 consists of the band members lead vocalist Adam Levine, keyboardist and rhythm guitarist Jesse Carmichael, bassist Mickey Madden, lead guitarist James Valentine, drummer Matt Flynn, keyboardist PJ Morton and multi-instrumentalist Sam Farrar. The group originally formed as Kara’s Flowers in the ‘90s, with Mickey, Adam, and Jesse serving as the original band members.
As the years went on, the group began including new members into their fold and, after a brief hiatus, returned as Maroon 5. They have released six studio albums together Songs About Jane (2002), It Won’t Be Soon Before Long (2007), Hands All Over (2010), Overexposed (2012), V (2014), and Red Pill Blues (2017).
The group has also played major events including a tribute to The Beatles and the Super Bowl 53 Halftime Show in 2019. They have been nominated for a total of 13 Grammy Awards and have won three in the early and mid 2000s.
