Actress Maggie Q was born Margaret Quigley and is of Irish, Polish and Vietnamese descent. She shot to stardom after she was was selected by Jackie Chan, who saw in her a potential action star. His intensive training taught her the importance of professionalism and always doing her own stunts, which she does to this day. The Hawaiian native nabbed leading roles in Mission: Impossible III alongside Tom Cruise, the Bruce Willis movie Live Free or Die Hard, and the drama/thriller movie Deception starring Ewan McGregor and Hugh Jackman. Maggie went on to play Dauntless faction member Tori Wu, in the film Divergent, and reprised her role in the second and third movies. In 2010, Q became the lead character, an assassin gone rogue, on the CW series Nikita. She returned to TV in 2016 opposite Kiefer Sutherland as Hannah Wells in Designated Survivor. In 2021, Maggie starred as Anna in the Lionsgate film The Protege, alongside Samuel L. Jackson and Michael Keaton.
