Madeline Stuart is an Australian model who made noise and broke down boundaries, coming out as one of the first professional models with Down syndrome. The 23-year-old beauty’s career began in 2015, when her mother started an online campaign in an effort to obtain a modelling contract. After eventually getting signed, Madeline has appeared on the New York Fashion Week catwalk, the Paris Fashion Week catwalk, the London Fashion Week catwalk, and many more.
In addition to modeling, Madeline is the brand ambassador for Australian Foundation for Disability, a not for profit Australian disability enterprise that supports people living with a disability, as well as the Brisbane Disability Expo.
For all her efforts and success, she was nominated for the Pride of Australia and Young Australian of the Year Award in 2015, 2016 and 2017. A few awards she’s had the pleasure of winning include the Advocacy Award (for her work in Uganda) in 2017 and the Quincy Jones Exceptional Advocacy Award in 2018.
