There was a time when Lance Armstrong’s name was associated with athletic greatness, not shame and scandal. The former cyclist was known for winning the Tour de France seven consecutive times – from 1999 to 2005 – the most in the event’s history. But, a United States Anti-Doping Agency (USADA) investigation discovered that Armstrong used performance-enhancing drugs throughout the course of his career. He received a lifetime ban from all sports, was stripped of his achievements – including his Tour de France wins – and became one of the most disgraced sports figures in modern history.
Lance is a father of five children. He and Kristin Richard married in 1998, and divorced in 2003, after welcoming three children together. In 2003, after Lance and Kristin announced their separation, he began dating Sheryl Crow. They were engaged in September 2005, but split the following February. In 2008, Lance began dating Anna Hansen. They welcomed two children, son Max in 2009, and daughter Olivia in 2010.
