Will Kyler Murray be the next big thing to hit the NFL? The Allen, Texas native and 2018 Heisman Trophy winner looks to make a huge splash at the 2019 NFL Draft, as many football annalists have predicted that Kyler will be the overall No. 1 draft pick. Kyler, a five-star recruit out of High School, first joined Texas A&M but transferred to the University of Oklahoma in December 2015. After sitting out the 2016 season, per NCAA transfer rules, he began his career in 2017 as backup for the future Heisman Trophy-winner Baker Mayfield. After Baker’s departure, Kyler earned the starter position and he ran with it. After throwing for more than 4,000 yards and 40 touchdowns, the NCAA awarded him the 2018 Heisman. Though he will leave college with the championship (Oklahoma was eliminated by Alabama in the Orange Bowl) the future is bright for this young superstar.
