Keith Richards, born December 18, 1943, is a British guitarist and member of the rock band The Rolling Stones. Keith and fellow band member Mick Jagger have known each other since primary school, and started their rock band when they were in their early 20s. Both Keith and Mick are credited for their songwriting abilities for the band.
Together, The Rolling Stones have won three Grammy Awards and earned another 12 nominations from the Recording Academy. Along with his musical abilities, Keith has also appeared in some films, including ‘The Pirates of the Caribbean,’ where he has played Captain Teague — Jack Sparrow’s father — in the third and fourth installments.
