Jonathan Brandis — Photos — Jonathan Brandis was a popular teen star in the early 1990s. He made his acting debut on the soap opera ‘One Life To Live’ in 1982. In 1990, Jonathan starred in the TV miniseries ‘It,’ based on the hit Stephen King novel. That same year, he also starred as Bastian Bux in ‘The NeverEnding Story II: The Next Chapter.’ In 1993, he began playing Lucas Wolenczak on the NBC series ‘seaQuest DSV.’ The show ran for 3 seasons. He went on to star in a number of movies in the later years of his life. Jonathan died of suicide by hanging in 2003. He was only 27 years old. Jonathan is featured in the Hulu documentary ‘Kid90,’ which was released in March 2021. Jonathan was a close friend of Soleil Moon Frye, who directed the documentary.
