John Kerry served the USA in many ways, though most notably as the 68th United States Secretary of State from 2013 to 2017. As a member of the Democratic Party, this now retired politician served as a United States Senator from Massachusetts from 1985 until 2013, while also attempting to grab the seat as President in 2004, losing to Republican incumbent President George W. Bush.
Here, a year after stepping down as US Secretary of State, John spoke to the press outside the “Tech for Good” Summit at the Elysee Palace in Paris. It was here that French President Emmanuel Macron seeked to persuade Mark Zuckerberg, CEO of Facebook, along with other internet giants, to talk about tax and data protection issues for the world.
