Jennifer Carroll Foy is the latest force to be reckoned with in the political world. Wife, mother of two and attorney, Foy is competing against four other candidates to be the next governor of Virginia. The democratic primary is on June 8. Jennifer was brought up by her grandmother – a strong female figure. She went on to pursue her education at the college level, and earned her bachelor’s degree from the Virginia Military Institute. As a part of the third class of female cadet to attend VMI, she received a full scholarship.
Following that, Foy earned her master’s degree from Virginia State University, and later her Juris Doctor degree from the Thomas Jefferson School of Law in San Diego. In 2017, Foy took to politics in her home state of Virginia by running for the Virginia House of Delegates. If elected as governor, Foy will make her top priorities criminal justice reform, health care, the environment, education and so much more.
