Hillary Scott is an American singer and songwriter. She is best known for being the co-lead singer of Lady Antebellum. She formed the country music group in 2006 with Charles Kelley andDave Haywood. Naturally, Scott has decided to follow in her mother’s footsteps, as she is the daughter of country music singer Linda Davis. (Charles Kelley has also followed in his brother’s footsteps, as he is related to pop singer Josh Kelley)
While Charles Kelley plays lead and background vocals and the guitar for Lady Antebellum, Dave Haywood plays background vocals, guitar, piano, and mandolin.
The band gained fans when it released its self-titled debut album on April 15, 2008. This album was widely successful and debuted at No. 1 on the Top Country Albums chart. The band’s debut single “Love Don’t Live Here”also peaked at No. 3 on Billboard’s Hot Country Songs chart in 2008
