‘Filthy Rich’ is a new series from Tate Taylor that premieres Sept. 21 on FOX. The series follows the Monreaux family, a mega-rich Southern family famed for creating a wildly successful Christian television network. On the cusp of launching a digital retail arm of the company, the family’s patriarch, Eugene, seemingly dies in a plane crash, leaving Margaret to take charge of the family business. Eugene’s death has a great impact on the Monreaux children: Eric and Rose. In the aftermath of Eugene’s death, the Monreaux is hit with a major scandal: Eugene has illegitimate children. All three of the kids are included in Eugene’s will, and Margaret uses this opportunity to try and control the new members of her family.
